More time for construction and engineering innovators to attend TechFest

The deadline for the NCE TechFest Awards has been extended by five weeks.

It gives pioneering engineering firms and individuals until August 5 to present their innovations for a gong.

TechFest is a one-day conference followed by an awards night to create a springboard for the latest innovations in the construction and infrastructure industry.

Sharing best practices and celebrating successful implementation, there are 15 award categories up for grabs this year.

Registrations are free and you can enter multiple innovations in a category or enter as many categories as you want, after reviewing the category-specific criteria.

NCE’s Head of Content and Engagement, Rob Horgan, said, “TechFest is a fantastic opportunity for the industry to come together and celebrate real innovation that makes a real difference.

“Construction has long been criticized for lagging behind other industries in reacting to new ideas and innovation.

“The TechFest Awards are an opportunity to highlight the positive steps the construction industry is taking to change this perception by embracing new technologies and using innovative materials.”

Last year’s winners included an hourglass walkway, a spare parts office, and a satellite-based dam monitoring system.
